About the Author
Kristopher Norris is a Baptist minister and PhD candidate in Theology and Ethics at the University of Virginia. He holds degrees from UNC, Duke, and Emory, and once won an eighth-grade geography bee. Kris lives in Charlottesville, Virginia. Sam Speers studied Religious Studies at the University of Virginia, where he was also involved in InterVarsity Christian Fellowship. He is a music lover and a former swim coach, and he knows every line from The Princess Bride. Sam also lives in Charlottesville.

Blends Politics and Faith in a Authentic Way

Literature that provides a wise discourse on both church and politics is difficult to find, which is why this book is such a breath of fresh air. Even when discussing difficult issues facing the church, such as political identity, support for gay marriage, and racial barriers, the authors analyze different churches’ approaches with understanding and not a drop of judgement. Very impressive. Especially valuable was how the authors described their own journey visiting the churches, not only in a physical sense, but also in a spiritual sense—it made the narrative refreshingly authentic and unpretentious. Leaving the churches aside, it was also nice how the authors included their own personalities in the story—although it sounded like they couldn't spend more than FIVE minutes together before launching into a brotherly debate on theology!

I’m not sure if I could handle a trip with these guys, but I highly recommend Kingdom Politics.

She received her BA from Barnard College of Columbia University and her MA and PhD from the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor. In 2012 2013, she held a Senior Research Fellowship at the Freiburg Institute for Advanced Studies in Germany in conjunction with a British Academy Mid-Career Fellowship, and in 2006 she was selected to participate in the International Research Seminar on Decolonization sponsored by the National History Center, the Mellon Foundation, and the Library of Congress in Washington, DC. Her publications include Empire Families: Britons and Late Imperial India (2004), which was awarded the Women's History Network Book Prize and led to her being shortlisted for the Young Academic Author of the Year award by the Times Higher Education Supplement in 2005. She has written articles in the Journal of Modern History, the Journal of Imperial and Commonwealth History, History and Memory, the Scottish Historical Review (where her piece won the Royal Historical Society's David Berry Prize), Annales de Demographie Historique, Ab Imperio, and Food and History. Contributions to edited collections include the chapter 'Ethnicity' in A Concise Companion to History, edited by Ulinka Rublack (2011).

not a great read

I paid $18.54 for this kindle book and the photographs were not included. These were historical photographs and were frequently referred to in the text.
I think that when you pay $18.54 for a book the photos should be included. There was not even any message to say that the kindle edition does not include the photographs.

It is an interesting subject but the writing was often dry.

Wonderful Read!

If you are interested in the intersection between race, ethnicity, class, and identity in the British Empire, let alone colonial India, this is the book to read. Buettner's focus on children sheds valueable light onto a subject, but it also allows the reader to connect--something that students are demanding to see in history books more these days! I would pair this book with Anna Davin's "Growing Up Poor" to get a fuller view of childhood, education, and identity at this point in time.

Love, Lust & A Millionaire is the perfect name for this book. You will love sweet Delilah and Sophie and you will most definitely lust over the hardened millionaire Oliver and his brother Liam. I could not put this book down.

Delilah has always been a caretaker, so when the sexy millionaire, Oliver Wyatt, hired her to be his daughter Sophie's nanny, it is a perfect match for her.

Oliver is a workaholic with a hardened heart. He is too busy for his daughter and doesn't believe in love. He has been with a woman he doesn't even like for eight months because he just doesn't care.

When Delilah comes into the picture, she begins to shake things up and chip away at his hardened heart. Her love and understanding of Sophie helps Oliver to bond with his daughter.

I did not want this book to end. I found myself laughing, smiling, screaming, and swooning. In the end, you will just feel good! This is a five star read for me!

All the secondary characters in this book are wonderful as well. I can't wait to see if we have a story for Liam, Oliver's brother.

That was the sweetest story ever! Oliver, Delilah, and Sophie are great together as a family. I'm going to say it again that Sandi Lynn has written another awesome book. Can't wait for the next one!

I am always excited when Sandi Lynn posts that she is releasing a new book. I read the synopsis for Love, Lust & A Millionaire, which made me even more eager to read it. I started and I didn't want to stop. There was so many things I loved about it.

Delilah works in a diner, always smiling and happy to help. One day she meets Oliver and Sophie. She likes what she sees but when Sophie is upset Delilah helps calm the situation and Sophie takes an instant like to her. The instant bond between them is beautiful, she is a breath of fresh air.

Oliver works most of the time and when he isn't, he is out. He tries to take care of Sophie the best he knows how. When he sees the bond Delilah and Sophie have he knows he has to hire her. Just for Sophie though right? Things begin to change and he starts to see everything differently. He spends more time with his daughter, the world seems brighter.

I loved all the characters in this book. Liam, Oliver's brother was funny and charming. I would love to see him get his happy ever after.

Love, Lust & A Millionaire is another top read from this author, one not to be missed.
